Barbara Reinhart – Ceramic Sculpture

Barbara Reinhart’s work in ceramic sculpture, drawing and painting is connected through her long-term involvement with figurative/narrative themes.

Reinhart earned her master of fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is an associate professor of art at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha. Her recent painting, “Do You Realize?”, will be acquired by the Waukesha Public Library’s art collection in September, 2012. Also in September a selection of her ceramic sculptures will be exhibited at Obsidian Gallery, Tucson, Arizona. Recent exhibitions include the Wisconsin Biennial 2011 at the Anderson Art Center, a solo exhibit at the Fine Arts Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo and inclusion in The Lake Country Project for Artists and Poets exhibit at the Raven Gallery in Pewaukee. Her work in that exhibit was highlighted in the Fall/Winter 2009 issue of Wisconsin Writers’ Journal. Her home and studio are located in Dousman, Wisconsin at Composite Clay Studio where she has worked and lived since 1984.
