The William Lemke Studio is where you will see some extraordinary photography. Bill has been photographing the landscape for over 25 years and his extensive world travels have provided him with a wide variety of subjects. Working with large format cameras, he uses TriX and TmaX 100 film to capture the quality of light on silver as it works and plays on surfaces and atmospheres. Open for the Tour will be his shooting studio, darkroom, matting and framing area, as well as the unanimously acclaimed “most beautiful bathroom on the Tour!”
Guest artists at Lemke’s Studio are: Richard Csavoy, who combines usefulness with excellence of design in his functional high-fired stoneware ceramic pieces; sculptor, Tom Wargin, who uses a blend of old and new practices to create his sculpture; sketches, which evolve into clay or carved 3-dimensional forms, and finally aluminum and bronze cast sculptures, and Richard Bronk, whose exceptionally fine wood furniture truly illustrates the partnership of exceptional form and function. He is well known for his free-form joinery as well as intarsia, which is an inlay using solid wood. And new this year is the paintings of Michael Foster and Joel Pfeiffer’s glass.
